The Matsuda M2003 is our inaugural Frame In Focus. The M2003 is a beautiful representation of the Matsuda craftsmanship. The Essential Optical Collection draws on the Matsuda eyewear heritage but is able to project an incredible fashion forward appeal. The frame comes in 4 colors of Japanese acetate, each color creating a unique look. The Tokyo Tortoise frame is further embellished with gold temples. All of the temple styles of the M2003 are made of pure Titanium with engraved scrollwork extending the entire length. The scrollwork on the exterior of the temples is classically ornate yet understated. The M2003 frame is counter balanced by a piece solid Titanium engraved with a Matsuda M that is embedded in the temple tip encased by Japanese acetate. By providing an anchor point behind the ear, the M2003’s balance effortlessly across many different face shapes. The ornamentation on the Temple and Tip showcase the attention to detail that is Matsuda. The aesthetic appeal of the Matsuda M2003 is matched by it’s functional performance. Of all the colors, the M2003 in cobalt blue crystal is my favorite. The Tobacco Brown, Tokyo Tortoise and Smooth Black are equally stunning pieces. They are easily adjustable, they hold form incredibly well and they are incredibly durable.
